How?

So I had this problem for a while. Every time I record/screenshare something and my Start Menu is shown, it kinda leaks my name.

That’s why I wanted to do something to get rid of that. I found some way to change the name of the account on the machine.

I did the thing and my admin perms got removed. I even checked on some Microsoft forum (I think), and apparently it’s impossible to delete the administrator.

Worst part is that they don't even say you are doing that, it just happens.

You still can kinda use Windows normally, but anything that uses the Administrator prompt only gives you a "No" option.

Stupid ngl.

So yea, I had to reinstall the whole OS, cause otherwise I kinda couldn't do anything. Luckily didn't lose that much. Only lost few saves from games that didn't have cloud saves. This time tho, I made a local account, so in the end I did fix the problem.

This happened on January 20/21 2025. Took me a bit to write this and I probably forgot most stuff I was supposed to write. Also I lost a photo of my PC after doing the reinstall.

Silly me :p

Me denying responsibility and yelling at a cloud

Who do I blame. Microsoft of course. If it wasn't them forcing people into Microsoft account, everything would be fine.

Microsoft has been kinda annoying, but it's their software, so they can do anything they want really. And that's kinda blehhhhh.

I don't want AI in my PC, what's even the point. Make actually good OS, not make it shittier by just making things worse or slapping shit that no one needs.

Just use Linux

Ngl I wish. But I'm kinda playing games that have 🤷 status when it comes to Linux (looking at you Hoyo).

I also would include Fortnite here, but I haven't played it in some time, so I don't really care anymore.

I'm open to the idea of using Linux on my main tho.

I have Arch installed on my laptop and was doing some stuff for fun (half of things still doesn't work).

I should buy a second drive and just have a dual boot setup.

I also probably could have a shared drive depending on how well the NTFS driver works.

Tho I don't really like the idea of having to completely switch my environment to do just one thing. I'd rather have everything in one place, or at least having Windows in Linux (but this wouldn't work well with the anti-cheat and no I wouldn't risk my account).

Conclusion

Microsoft is stupid and me too.

Punch Bill Gates.
